Tuxedo Dress from Love Notions - Pattern Test and Discount Code

I love testing new patterns. You meet so many people with the same passion for sewing and so creative! And, I can't help it; when the designer is so nice and is constantly helping the testers and giving nice feedback on their creations, they become a new friend! This was the case with the Tuxedo dress.

This lovely dress comes from Tami Bunch Meyer at Love Notions. It is a comfy one; designed for knit. It is simple a-line dress with many options to combine.

Option A: standard neckline, optional ruffles hem, cap sleeves, long & 3/4 sleeves, bell sleeves or puff ones.
Option B: bib neckline, and all the same options for ruffles and sleeves.
It also includes pockets from size 2t onwards.

The tutorial is really detailed, including pictures, tips for knit, size measurements and a table with the pages you need to print for each option as well as shortcut links which will take you to the right page when reading the tutorial from a computer or tablet. Isn't that perfect?

I went for a colour block in coral and blue. Option A for the neckband and 3/4 sleeves.

It is suitable both for beginners and experienced sewists.

I recommend you to check her blog, cause she usually adds some video tutorials as guidance.

The fit was just perfect. The length hits the knees, sleeves start right at the shoulders, and is a really comfy and versatile pattern.

You can shop the pattern here and there is a 15% discount using 'tuxedo' as code running for one week! Make sure you don't miss it!
