The Lillian Pintucked Dress and Top by MHC

Hi there! This is Fatima again!!!

I have been missing in action for too long...!!! Thanks to Rita this blog has still been busy and full of wonderful stuff :) I love that we are 2 friends blogging together, btw. I promise i'll find some time to write a more "personal" post and tell you what I have been up to! But.... as a secret, don't tell anyone yet, I'm expecting a new baby! ;) But shhhhhh; I'll tell you more about it in a few days.

Hayley, from Mouse House Creations, is releasing her brand new pattern: "The Lillian Pintucked Dress and Tunic" and I was so lucky to be part of the test! I love its simplicity... It's a win win.

This is an A-lined dress (or tunic) with 10 symetrical pintucks in the centre. You can make both long sleeves and short sleeves, which is perfect cause you can use it for any season, more considering, there is a warmy lined option. And it's one of those gargements you can have more than one in your wardrobe and don't feel like you are dressing your children exactly the same during the whole season, ha!

I chose a beatiful fabric from Robert Kaufman I bought some time ago in modes 4 u. I love it cause it looks from the 60's! But it might be a bit too busy to see the pintucks in detail... Sorry about that!

I went for the tunic, cause I really needed some for the winter but I'm planning to make a short sleeved dress for spring, maybe in a solid colour.. in white? It has a keyhole in the back and the neck is finished with a bias tape and a laze.

A detail of the pintucks. Can you spy the blue chalk I used for drawing the pintucks? LOL.
A "pop" tunic deserves a vintage looking picture, right? There you are! I hope you enjoyed!

Hayley is exclusively selling this pattern on upcraftclub.com from 1/30 - 2/6/15 with a discount and afterwards it will be available in her web welcometothemousehouse.com

Have a nice w.e.!
