Have I told you how much I love French patterns? I might have a soft spot for them, cause the very first sewing book I had in my hands was from Astrid Le Provost... I'm even trying to improve my French to be able to read properly the instructions and open to the world of French written patterns and tutorials.
This one comes from "Papillon et Mandarine". Sizes availables are 2y, 3y, 4y, 6y, 8y and10y, and you can only buy it in paper (no digital PDF version). The pattern is called "Colombine", and this one is luckily both in French and English :)
It's a classical design with some beautiful lateral straps. The bodice is made of several pieces to give a "v-shaped" look and the straps appear from the central piece.
I went for a light grey and white (Suisse dotted) combination. I wanted to keep it really soft and simple.
I love how it turned out. So femenine... :)
I discovered this designer through "S is for Sewing". Ana Sofia is addicted to this pattern! :) So I strongly recommend you to have a look in her blog, especially if you are looking for sleeve-less options, cause this is not included in the pattern and she has some beautiful versions to inspire you. For example, this one or this one.
I hope you like it as much as I do! ;)
Happy February 2015 Kids Clothes Week!
