Skirt or pants?

Who is in for some Japanese sewing?
Mie from Sewing like Mad is holding a Japanese sewing series in Petit a Petit's blog "Sew Japan with Mie"! This is exactly what I needed: some motivation for using more my not-so-small collection of Japanese books. They are really dangerous for sewing-creative minds cause you want them all and you want to make them all.
I could not be happier about this post! In some way my 3 most inspiring bloggers are meeting here: Sewing like Mad, Petit a Petit and Titchy Threads. Yes, Titchy threads too with its Rowan Tee. And yes, of course with the #rufflealltherowans.
These "skirt or pants" come from a not so well known book (photo below). I can't even tell you the name cause I don't understand a word of Japanese. Ha! They are nice! Aren't they? I love that they look as a skirt, but have the "comfy" pro of being trousers!

  1. Oh wow, it's early morning here on the US east coast and you have already made my day with your post here. Thank you thank you thank you. And this outfit is more than fabulous!! I NEED to make a stripy ruffled Rowan now. It might be my favorite one I've seen so far. And how fun are those shorts...I would never have guessed it was not a skirt.
